Two US Navy pilots have been shot down over the Red Sea whilst conducting airstrikes on Yemen’s Houthi Rebels.
The two US Navy pilots where shot down in a “friendly fire” incident the US Central Command said in a statement, both US Navy pilots are alive and one has minor injuries.
CENTCOM said in a statement, “The guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg, which is part of the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group mistakenly fired on and hit the F/A-18, which was flying off the USS Harry S. Truman.”
