The Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has slammed Hungary’s Prime Minister for praising Vladimir Putin for his massive attacks on Christmas Day in Ukraine.

Viktor Orban called Putin an “honest partner” whilst the Russian dictator launched a “deliberate” and massive ballistic missile and drone attack on Ukraine on Thursday.

Ukrainians woke up on Christmas Day to explosions as Putin “deliberately chose Christmas for an attack.”

Russian forces launched more than 70 missiles and more than 50 were shot down, but President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on Wednesday “there were hits.”

There were more than 70 ballistic missiles with more than a hundred attack drones which were intended to destroy “energy infrastructure” in Ukraine.

The Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down 113 missiles, and attack drones out of 184 overnight.

The Air Force Telegram channel reported, “According to preliminary data, as of 12:00, it has been confirmed that 113 air targets have been shot down: 55 X-101, X-55, Kalibr cruise missiles; 4 X-59/X-69 guided air missiles; 54 Shahed attack UAVs/imitator drones of various types, and another 52 did not reach their targets (location lost).”

The enemy attacked Ukrainian energy facilities in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zaporizhia regions. Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian attack, there were hits,” the statement added.

The Polish Prime Minister said, “On Christmas Eve, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukrainian cities.

“At the same time, in a Christmas interview, Prime Minister Orban called Putin an honest partner of the Hungarians.”

This demonstrates Orban’s pro-Putin stance and Hungary’s ongoing ties to Moscow, despite being a member of NATO.

Orban has opposed all EU and Western sanctions on Russia since Putin’s full-scale invasion on Ukraine and he has also blocked attempts for Kyiv to receive military aid to protect themselves for Russian missile and drone attacks.
