Dr Taj Hargey from the Oxford Institute for British Islam claims Imams are “absolutely” promoting grooming gangs.
Dr Hargey has made a series of claims over the past 11 years raising concerns of religion and race which is linked to the grooming gangs, he claimed speaking to GB News.
During an interview with Martin Daubney, he said that is “fundamentalist Muslims” believe the “prophet Mohammed” can have sex with a “nine-year old” then “what wrong with a 12-year-old,” he said in a shocking statement.
He asked why is it that “virtually every single person in these grooming gangs Muslim,” he alledges it “seems like 95% of them are.”
He said that the successive governments have yet not heeded any of his warnings and he has joined a long line of people calling for a national inquiry into such gangs.

Dr Hargey told the Daily Mail in 2013 that these grooming gangs are “bound up with religion and race” as all the men responsible for raping young innocent girls are in fact “Muslim.”
He told GB News in a shock interview that the Muslim men responsible, “deliberately targeted vulnerable white girls, whom they appeared to regard as ‘easy meat’, to use one of their revealing, racist phrases.”
Dr Hargey was asked if the Imams are deliberately encouraging Muslim men to have this twisted attitude towards young girls, he said “absolutely.”
“There’s a perpetuation of ‘them and us’”, he told GB News.
“The theology from the Mosque and the elders is to perpetuate this idea of ‘them and us’.
“The criminality is fuelled by the ideology of the Islamic fundamentalism which has no basis in the Qu’ran.
“These fundamentalist Muslims believe If the Prophet Muhammad can sleep with a nine-year-old, what’s wrong with me sleeping with a 12-year-old?’, even though the story is not true.
“The idea is, when you can delegitimise these youngsters as being less than human and being less than equal and for you to do whatever you please, that is the basis for these men to act like that.
“There is this ideology, this interpretation of Islam which makes this possible.
“Why is virtually every single person in these grooming gangs Muslim? It seems like 95% of them are. We need to look at the interconnection between Islam, promoted by the clergy and the establishment in the UK, because Islam is not promoting this reprehensible behaviour.”

On Wednesday, the Prime Minister has been told by an Oldham councillor to “stop deflecting” and get on with a national inquiry over the grooming gangs scandal.
The independent Oldham councillor Abdul Wahid slammed Labour’s decision force MPs to vote against a public inquiry.
Wahid told GB News, “It makes absolutely no sense,” that the government is insisting an inquiry could delay tackling child abuse crimes.
He added, “Keir Starmer should stop deflecting by doing things like calling this far-right. This is not a far-right movement, this is a movement for justice.”
Speaking to Charlie Peters on GB News, Wahid said, “I don’t believe that this is a matter of race or religion.
“The more Labour keeps blocking this, the more people are going to say angry things.
“All I’m looking for is justice and that’s the be all and end all. We have to get justice to these victims and to these survivors.”
